This giveaway has been organised by Erasmus Student Network UK SCIO (no. SC051188) hereinafter the "Organiser", and launched as a prize draw for completion of the Organiser’s International Student Perspectives UK Survey, referred to hereinafter as “the survey”. The draw will be ruled by the following terms and conditions:

1. Theme

The promotion is launched to prize draw 1 Interrail ticket with a 4 days of unlimited train travel youth pass (12-27) to travel during a month of the winner’s choice. The aim of this draw is to encourage participation in the survey.

 

 

2. Participants

Participants must be individuals, aged between 12 and 27 years at the time of travel, resident in any European country. To participate, they must have completed the survey and opted in to sharing their email for the purposes of the prize draw. 

Erasmus Student Network volunteers may also participate in the giveaway, but not volunteers on the National Level of ESN UK.

3. Participation and conditions

Entry to the prize draw is free of charge and depends upon completion of the survey.

In order to participate in the prize draw, the survey must be completed and submitted as a response. The participant must have ticked, in answer to Section 11 statement ‘Please indicate whether you would like to join the prize draw, and whether you would like to receive the final report and further information via email.’, ‘prize draw’ or ‘prize draw and final report’. They must then submit a valid email address in Section 12 ‘Input your email’.

Participants can also be entered through referral by other participants. All emails added to the referral box in Section 11 will be entered to the prize draw, provided this email has also completed the survey.

Any content that the Organiser considers unsuitable, inappropriate, offensive, violent, sexist, racist, or that violates the fundamental rights of individuals will be excluded from the giveaway. 

The winner will be determined by randomly choosing from all emails inputted to the aforementioned survey boxes.

If it becomes evident that any of the participants do not comply with the requirements set out in the Rules or are not eligible under the conditions of the Interrail Pass, or the data provided to participate are not valid, their participation will be considered null and void and they will be automatically excluded from the Promotion, losing all rights to the prize awarded by virtue of this Promotion. This includes if the Organiser deems the participant has not completed the survey in good faith with truthful answers.

The winner of the giveaway will be announced by publishing the name through the Organiser's communication channels (website and social networks). They will also be contacted by email.

Once the ticket has been provided to the winner of the prize draw, the participant must abide by the terms and conditions of interrail.eu and the ticket provided. The Organiser takes no liability or responsibility after the ticket has been provided.

4. Participation timeline

The requirements for participation in the giveaway must be met from 09:00 on 24 March 2023 to 23:59 on 31 May 2023. The winners will be contacted via email and announced no later than 7 June 2023.

 

The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or extend the contest period, as well as the right to change, suspend or cancel the promotion in advance when this is due to force majeure or causes not attributable to the Organiser, without this implying a duty to compensate of any kind, as well as the right to interpret these legal terms and conditions.

 

5. Prize

The person selected (only one person) as the winner will receive the following prize: 1 Interrail 4 days of unlimited train travel Youth Pass tickets (12-27), valid for one month of their choice within 12 months of the date the winner is contacted.

Acceptance of the prize by the winner implies consent to the Organiser to use, for publicity purposes, his/her name and image in promotional material related to this competition.

The prize cannot be exchanged for its cash value. The prize will be given to the winner and is non-transferable. Participation is free of charge. 

6. Cession of rights

Participants assume responsibility for the authorship and originality of the images they submit and transfer the rights of reproduction and communication of their photographs, so that the Organiser can use them in any of the necessary channels, for the purposes of communication and dissemination.

The participants will protect the image rights of the people who may appear in their photographs, not infringing the rights of third parties and taking sole responsibility for the events that may arise from this. The Organiser is exempt from any liability in this respect.

7. Data protection

By participating in the competition, participants accept that the contents and comments that will be published on this network and other social networks may be shared publicly on Instagram through the Organiser's profile, as well as on other channels such as the website or other social profiles of the Organiser.

By providing their email address, the participants accept that the Organiser has permission to store their email address for the purposes they have indicated in Section 11 of the survey (prize draw, prize draw and final report). If indicated ‘prize draw’, the email will be deleted following the prize draw. If indicated ‘prize draw and final report’, the email will be deleted following the distribution of the final report. 

8. Responsibilities

Participants must not transmit (upload) files or comments, which contain viruses, or which may be harmful to any computer equipment, tablets, or mobile phones. The Organiser is excluded from liability for late or misdirected entries, or for any failure or unavailability of hardware, software, electronic communications, or Internet uploads or other connections. The Organiser is not responsible for any changes, or effects that may be caused to your mobile phone, computer system, camera or other equipment as a result of your participation.

9. The Organiser reserves the right to:

Exclude any entry, or any participant, in the event of incorrect manipulation of data. 

Reject the participation in the competition of those who do not meet the requirements described in these rules and terms of participation, or contravene the rules or purpose of the competition.

To cancel the present competition, or suspend it, or change any of its conditions, if for technical reasons, or for any other reasons beyond its control, it is unable to comply with the normal development of the same, as established in the present rules.

Modify or extend these promotional bases, insofar as this does not prejudice or undermine the rights of the participants in the Promotion.

10. Acceptance of the rules

Participation implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
